The 25th International Gala Event, held on Friday, 23rd November 2018 is one of the most important events organised by the Higher Diploma students under the leadership of the Centre for Events Management at HTMi. In celebration of this milestone event the elegant theme chosen “The Night of the Masks”.

 

The highest standards of hospitality shown by the HTMi student body, was gain highly appreciated well by the guests who attended, were delighted with numerous performances and a lost love story of two characters, Josie and Robin inspired by the worldwide famous play “Romeo and Juliet” with a little twist.

 

Upon arrival, guests were welcomed on a red carpet and were treated to gourmet five-course dinner, ending with our traditional and famous Dessert Buffet, all prepared under the leadership of Chef Andreas Kurfürst and his culinary team.

 

HTMi once again had the honour and pleasure of welcoming international dignitaries, Ambassadors, Diplomats, industry leaders and invited guests.

 

On this special occasion HTMi was very honoured to welcome Mr. Hisham Al Grug, C.E.O, Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. HTMi’s Managing Director, Mr. Ian Larmour and Mr. Hisham Al Grug signed together a memorandum of understanding that Swisstouches Hotels and Resorts will represent the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum (Dubai, UAE) in China, Singapore and ASEAN, creating a business bridge between these countries and the UAE. This new collaboration is strongly supported by the Government of the United Arab Emirates. To witness the signing and attending our gala event, we were honoured to have representatives from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Bern, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Nasir Al Nuaimi, the Charge D’Affairs and Mr Gamal Abdalla, Public Relations.

 

HTMi also welcomed Embassies H.E. Ambassador Mr. Istvan Nagy and Ms. Zsuzsanna Banyai from the Hungarian Embassy, Ms. Irena Valentová, Chargé d´affaires Czech Embassy, Mr. Dionisis Tsikopoulos, Consul Greek Embassy, Mr. Konstantin Zeuke, General Manager Kempinski Hotel St. Moritz, Mr. Jorge Bösiger, Revenue Manager Savoy Baur en Ville Hotel Zürich, Mr. Laszlo Busa, HTMi Agent Hungary, Professor Li Ming, Visiting Professor EMLYON Business School China, Mr. Sunil Suri, Principle, The Menlo Companies USA and Mr. Jurg Tschanz, CEO, PlanitSwiss.

 

HTMi was proud to support “4 Oceans”, an organisation globally recognized for its initiatives in supporting the clean up of the world’s oceans.
