My name is Cherry Yip and I am from Hong Kong. I started my studies at HTMi in the fall semester of 2010. Currently I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science (Hons) course.
HTMi is ideally located in a setting of evergreen valley with snow-capped mountain and its culturally diverse, multilingual population and its long tradition of educating future leaders in Hospitality. I enjoyed my 3 years studying here, HTMi provides me with the necessary professional knowledge, skills with the purpose of being outstanding in the hospitality industry. With HTMi theoretical and practical training, it inculcated and enabled me to develop the professional attitudes for managerial competence and long term career development in the industry. Upon graduation, I strongly believe I can improve my interpersonal skills and equipped myself to display a high level of professionalism.
Student life at HTMi in not only about studying, I also love to take part in the distinction events which are held by the students. Such as theme parties, culture nights, wedding event and international night. It does not only provide a platform for me to learn more about event management, but also create a superb atmosphere for students.
I am proud of the career team in HTMi which have a various connections with different hotels in world; and gave me an opportunity to do my internship with Conrad Centennial. It was a fabulous experience as it enabled me to get a feel for the real hotel industry and to obtain a variety of skills and knowledge. All of which will be extremely valuable to me in the future.
