HTMi Switzerland being the leading and innovative institute launched the first edition of the World Hospitality Student Championship. The championship was hosted at HTMi Switzerland in Sörenberg from Friday, 30th November to Sunday, 2nd December 2018, and saw the best of the best compete against each other in the areas of cocktail & mocktail making, culinary, service, barista, front office and housekeeping.
Besides HTMi Switzerland, three of our international partner schools took part, the MENA Company for Education & Development in Saudi Arabia, RIG Institute of Hospitality & Management India and the Swiss Kazak Institute for Hospitality, Kazakhstan.
All competitions were judges by a jury of independent industry experts and travelled from within Switzerland, United Kingdom, France and the United Arab Emirates.
The championships concluded on the Sunday evening with a glittering gala dinner where all guests were dined and entertained allowing HTMi Switzerland staff and students to showcase their true Swiss hospitality.
