The Swiss Apprenticeship Programme for South Africa: “we strive to Providing South African youth with a hospitality industry career in South Africa”.
HTMi is delighted to announce that we have been selected to be one of two Swiss Hotel Schools, supporting the Swiss Government Apprenticeship Programme for the hospitality industry in South Africa.
A key objective of this programme is transfer the experience and learning values of the world famous Swiss dual apprenticeship system of “work and school” to support a large number of young South Africans to enter the hospitality industry. The programme is aligned and in support of the South African Government policy to create one million new jobs for South African youth within 3 years.
The Swiss Apprenticeship Programme for South Africa Development Group (pictured) met at the Embassy Residence in Pretoria, to plan and launch the first stage.
Swiss Ambassador, H.E. Helene Budliger Artieda is the founder and leader of the programme supported by Mr. Balz Abplanalp, Minister Counsellor, and Deputy Head of Mission, and Project Manager Mr. Richard Staub.
