Hello, my name is Fairman Ijai Muhingi sending you very warm greetings from Olare Mara Kempinski Camp in Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Masai Mara Kenya(one of the World’s wonders).

What a pleasure to share with you my career path. After my Post Graduation followed by the Train the Trainer program in 2007 at HTMi,Hotel and Tourism Management Institute, Switzerland.

Thanks to HTMI’s International placement Office I managed to join The Constance Hotels, Lemuria Resort on Praslin Island, Seychelles as a Management Trainee soon after my Post Graduation Course. During my Management Training program at the Resort, the management gave me an opportunity to work as a relief Night Manager, a responsibility that I assumed since January 2009. This is where my Management career began and as a Night Manager then I looked back at HTMI,Hotel and Tourism Management Institute, Switzerland with great pride and sincere appreciation since the skills and experiences that I gathered from there sprung me up the Career ladder helping me to move around with ease and exemplify other Trainees.

I was also able to lead my team in what is known as Creative Thinking Teams (CTT) and Total Continuous Improvement Teams (TCI) in trying to get solutions to existing issues affecting the operation. From Seychelles I moved back home and joined a Pre-Opening City Hotel, Ole Sereni in Nairobi Kenya where I started off as a Duty Manager before moving on to join the Kempinski Hotels & Resorts as a Front Office Manager in the Serengeti Tanzania the now Four Seasons safari Lodge Serengeti. From here on I was a Front Office Manager till November 2013 when the Kempinski Kenya Core Management tasked me with a bigger responsibility of taking over as the Camp Manager of Olare Mara Kempinski, Masai Mara a tented luxurious Safari Camp in the Mara.

Dear HTMI Tutors, fellow HTMI alumni and current HTMI Students alike, all this I owe to my Training at HTMI and the care the School gave to me. May God bless and keep you well!
