The Successful Growth of HTMi Switzerland Partnership in Kazakhstan with ATU

In 2015 HTMi Switzerland and Almaty Technical University founded KSIT to support many talented young hospitality professionals become managers in the growth of the Kazakh hospitality and tourism industry. Both partners have made great efforts with faculty exchange, training, student visits to Switzerland, teaching visits to KSIT curriculum development, and advancement on all KPIs including an 80% increase in moving average. student numbers since 2015. Following a strong growth curve, both partners signed a new long-term contract and added more programme options for students including a culinary programme in 2020. KSIT has become a well-known award-winning hospitality institute in Kazakhstan, growing in size, quality and economic contribution, and recognized many times including a National Tourism Award in 2018 for developing cultural tourism, with a project lasting over 4 years, and is presented to KSIT at the national level from the First President Fund.
