Due to our long standing excellent reputation, the Centre for Events Management Training at HTMi was once again selected out of the several existing hotel management institutes in Switzerland, by Volkswagen Motor Corporation to run and manage their Food & Beverage Operations for their VIPs and International Press from around the globe at the 84th International Motor Show in Geneva. The first three days of the event were opened only to the press, where Volkswagen introduced their 2014 line up. During this time top executives from Volkswagen as well as the world’s most influential journalists attended the event and it was the chance where HTMi’s excellent students were able to gain valuable experience serving them along side exhibiting the highest professional standards taught at HTMi.

HTMi has been sending groups of excellent students to work at this prestigious event for the past few years and due to the high professionalism and work ethic of our students, this year was no different, with excellent attitudes during work and outstanding behaviour, we have been asked to send a further group again next year to the 85th International Motor Show in Geneva. We hope to continue this relationship with Volkswagen for the years to come.

Thomas Benkert, Project Manager for Volkswagen said, “All your students were great! My many thanks for their hard work and high standards of professionalism. I’m looking forward to next year.”

Our reputation is continuing to extend not only by the repeat co-operations with Volkswagen but also to another world’s event, the Basel World, the world’s largest and most prestigious Watches and Jewellery Exhibition held annually in Basel, Switzerland. In addition to events within Switzerland, we have also sent out groups of excellent students to many mega-events such as the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the 2012 London Olympics, the recent 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia and more.

At this year Geneva Auto Salon, the feedback from Volkswagen were highly positive, however it is equally important to receive pleasing feedback from our students after the event. “It was tough, but this is the real world and the real world is exciting, thank you HTMi and Volkswagen for this exceptional opportunitiy” said one student. Another student has also commented “Volkswagen had the biggest booth, arguably where all eyes were on, since Volkswagen produces some of the world’s most iconic models, the press flooded in during the launch of this year’s line up, I am so proud to be a part of this”. We at HTMi were even more proud of our students’ achievements and their appreciation of the opportunities, it is why we do what we do!

The 85th Geneva International Motor Show will take place from March 3-15, 2015 and we are looking forward to hearing more positive feedbacks.
