The most important event organised by the HD & PGD Event Management students under the leadership of the Centre for Events Management HTMi, the 20th International Gala Event was held on Friday, 29th April 2016. The theme for this special event was a bygone era of “Renaissance Masquerade”.

The high standards of hospitality of the HTMi student body, was appreciated by the guests, who were delighted with numerous performances and a lost love story of two characters, inspired by the famous play “Romeo and Juliet” with a little twist.

Guests were delighted with a gourmet five-course menu, outstanding service and electrifying performances. The students managed to create an outstanding ambience, design and décor around the concept of “Renaissance Masquerade”. Guests were welcomed into the lobby for an exquisite cocktail reception and then escorted into an elegant atmosphere in the Alpine Restaurant.

HTMi was honoured to host the Ambassadors of Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Taiwan, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps from the South African, Slovakian, Kazakhstan, and Vietnamese embassies represented in Switzerland.

During the closing, Mr. Anthony Lack, thanked past and present students for their dedication and commitment over 10 years in getting the standards better and better from the first event in November 2006 to the highest standards of today expected by our guests.

I would like to thank all the ladies and gentlemen of HTMi from all classes for their hard work, dedication, commitment, support and tireless effort in making this International Gala Event such an enjoyable, successful and memorable evening.

To quote some of the feedback given by our guests: “Memorable night, compliments to the organizers”, “Interesting performance ideas”, “I have been enjoying your hospitality since four years… Excellent”.
