Famous Swiss hospitality diploma education
Switzerland has become famous for hospitality education. The first major hotel school in the world was opened in Lausanne in the early 1900s. Since then Switzerland has had a high reputation for hotel and tourism education and training and there is a large demand from international students. The needs of these foreign students are addressed by offering courses in English for aspirant managers. HTMI fulfills these needs.

Professional management training
There are many exciting career opportunities for our graduates. Modern hotel and tourism companies are looking for bright graduates with excellent interpersonal skills and who display professional behavior. International hotel company recruiters are seeking graduates who are keen to work hard and who have a blend of training and education in marketing, human resources, front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, kitchen, service, banqueting, foreign languages, computing, presentation skills and tourism. Throughout our courses we provide the necessary professional knowledge and skills and simultaneously inculcate and develop the correct attitudes for managerial competence and career development.
This is all contained in our Management Training Programme that is integrated into our fully accredited courses. Our goal is to give all students a full management training programme recognized by international hotel companies, before students graduate. This means students are ready to work and realize our mission of come as a student, leave as a manager.

Switzerland work placements
To complement our Management Training Progarmme we give students the opportunity every year to practise what they have been trained for. My role at HTMi is to manage our network of over 200 hotels, restaurants and bars which annually employ our students. We organise interviews, prepare students, and finally sign a Swiss Government employment contract which covers all aspects of students salary and welfare. Salaries are a minimum of Swiss Francs 2075 gross per month, and employers will normally provide accommodation and food.
The main point of the work placements in Switzerland is to practise learned skills, but most importantly we call this the growing up period for our students. Our students really appreciate the self-development gained from Swiss hospitality work experience. Welcome.

Hotel & leisure companies recruit on campus
As Part of our mission, “come as student, leave as a manager” our international placement services include helping all potential graduates to connect with international hotel companies. Every semester, twice per year, we introduce students to employers, here on campus. They interview and recruit here. Depending on the students background our aim is to place them in that first or next important career step as a Trainee Manager, Assistant Manager, Department Manager or at a higher level . It is very normal for an employer visiting HTMi to express interest in hiring all available students; and so at graduation students have many choices.
